Foreign continuing education courses can be recognized upon a physician's application, provided they submit a certificate of attendance in German or English and the courses are shown to be equivalent to approved domestic continuing education. The equivalence review is conducted in support of the Austrian Medical Chamber by the continuing education departments of the state medical chambers.
